R800 Million of debt recovered in 6 months

Since 2013, Boffin & Fundi has managed the credit control process for the City of Tshwane. The solutions adopted for this project (e.g. data analytics, credit control management system) have significantly improved debt recovery in the metro. Boffin & Fundi set up and manages an integrated Credit Control Centre on behalf of the city. The centre has been capacitated with a full staff compliment comprising of data capturers, call centre operatives, rapid response teams and analysts. In line with the client needs, Boffin & Fundi has installed a state of the art credit control platform, a call centre, field operations, automated and manual job card capturing platform. Together with revenue data analytics, this set of solutions has helped the City of Tshwane to reduce their debt book. For the six month period from January to June 2015 alone, our Credit Control operations have helped the Metro recover debt totalling over R800 million. Equally importantly, the project has created 160 jobs for the young people in the jurisdiction of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality.

Over R1 billion debt recovery for the City of Johannesburg

Since February 2015, Boffin & Fundi has managed the revenue recovery process for the City of Johannesburg. Beyond data analytics, debt collection and the Kingpin™¬†System , to capacitate the Municipality Boffin & Fundi set up and operates a debt recovery internal call centre (with credit control functions), which serves as a conduit for Revenue Recovery. Owing to the expansion of the project scope, we have since established credit management processes within the Logistic Department. At the time of engagement, the value of the Debt Book was about R4 Billion. By concentrating on high-value accounts (as informed by data analytics and profiling), over a six month period (February to July), Boffin & Fundi have attained a debt recovery of over R1 Billion.

SMART SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR EKURHULENI METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY

Based on extensive experience in municipalities throughout Southern Africa, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) engaged with Boffin & Fundi in October 2015 to form a collaborative relationship which would see them supporting the EMM in their vision to develop and deliver smart systems and processes around two critical areas; credit control management and meter reading management.
